Science and Engineering Concepts
After consulting with our advisers we have recognized some engineering concepts we will be needing assistance with. This first is the electrical engineering challenge of creating a circuit that allows our device to spin while being plugged into a wall. I assume we will need to use a program like multi sim or RobotC to create a circuit/ device. Our goal is to have the wine glass spinner that plugs into the wall and consists of an on/off switch, possibly different settings, but more research will need to be done. Also the mechanical engineering aspect of building our device. We were hoping to create a metal look instead of a plastic one, so the design is more appealing to the user. We may need to consult with Mr. Stevens about welding a box that can hold our circuit.
Prototype
Testing Stage: For our testing stage we are going to attempt to use our polisher to polish a number of different wine glasses. We will adjust the speed and rotation to support our findings. Testing is necessary to create the most efficient wine glass polisher.
Data Gathering Stage: Data will be gathered using a timer in order to see how long the polishing process takes for either one or two glasses. Results should stay constant and the machine should hold true to it's produced times. Our data will be stored in a chart and may possibly change depending on what changes we make to the product.
Construction Stage: Our construction stage will definitely be complex considering we are making the machine automatic. The most efficient way to go about the construction stage would be to focus on building the outside structure and cleaners then moving onto to attaching wires and parts. Since we are not exactly sure what electrical materials we will need, it is hard to explain a layout and procedure.

Hardwire LLC EmployeeGood morning Emily. My name is Garrett Tinus. I am currently enrolled in the engineering program at Worcester Technical High school and working to complete a final capstone project. This project requires many steps before and after the building process. Our goal is to create a functional product that solves an issue in society. My team and I have decided to create an automatic wine glass polisher. Our goal is to have the polisher run automatically which will require wiring and electrical assistance. We are wandering if someone in the company could assist us with the electrical process and answer our questions. Thank you for your time and consideration, We are looking forward to hearing from you.

Software and Technology
First off, we are going to need tools for electrical wiring. We plan on making our product able to plug into the wall for power. We will need:
Pliers - Screwdrivers and nut drivers - Wire strippers - Utility Knife - Voltage Detectors - Measuring Devices (tape-measure, ruler, etc.) - Power Drill - Power Saw
We also plan on having the cleaners on our wine glass polisher spin, meaning we will need to use some kind of Robot Vex software and technology that we can easily program to spin whenever we flip a switch on. Another possible alternative is a system of gears that could spin the cleaners.
