Final bridge design
Design brief
Research summary
I looked up pictures of bridges, and it seemed the trusses for smaller bridges, like the one i built were mostly above the road. I wanted to model my bridge off of some real life bridges, so I knew the bridge would be successful.

Justification- In order to keep the cost down I used the cheapest material and tried to keep the length of the members down. I used hallow tubes instead of solid tubes at first. wherever there were failure I changed the tube to a solid tube.
Conclusion questions-
1)The materials at an angle need to be stronger than the materials which are horizontal or vertical. This is because of the high tension on those members.
2)The forces of compression can cancel out the forces of tension.
